Circuit Training Personal Programme

Circuit classes provide stimulation to a group working out under the direction of a highly trained and inspired leader. These classes are most suitable for those who desire group interaction, and who find it a tedious task to either train on their own or organize their own routines. Classes are fun and with the help of the pumping tunes and the instructor you will find it highly motivating!

What Is Circuit?

Circuit training is an arrangement of well known and proven exercises designed to help the user get maximum benefit from the class. The objective of circuit training is to develop your strength, endurance and cardio-respiratory fitness. It aims at your overall fitness rather than specific fitness for different activities. Over the past few years, circuit training has become hugely popular in the fitness industry and here in Clondalkin leisure centre we are happy to offer these classes to our members and the public!

What Are The Benefits?

The benefits of circuit training are:

  • It provides a balance between aerobic and strength training;
  • It provides a balanced program of strength development;
  • It is a time efficient workout;
  • It is not intimidating for people who have not used weights before;
  • It encourages group involvement;
  • It can be adapted to meet the specific needs of different sports.

Here in Clondalkin Leisure Centre we use an express circuit. This is simply just a bunch of machines for every body part placed in our studio, away from public view for our more shy members, we can and we do add in other exercises between the machines we already have set up in the studio. This gives a more effective all over body workout to the member.

We can also set up larger circuits in our hall specifically designed for sports teams or larger groups, our instructors are always happy to chat with anyone wishing to do so. We have many highly trained instructors with great knowledge in sports specific circuits!

How Long Will All This Take?

Our circuit classes usually take no longer than 45 minutes, which will include a 10 minute warm up and a 35 minute main phase of so much fun and laughter you won’t even realise you have had a full intensive workout. This even leaves you enough time to relax and unwind in our gyms sauna and steam room before you head off home. It is recommended you stay to complete the full class so as to reduce the risk that you may feel sore in the morning, as all our classes end with all over stretching and if you miss that you could be quite sore!
