An innovative exercise class, in the water, to music. Aquafit sessions, formerly called aqua-aerobics, are incredibly popular with our female customers, although we would regularly have men partake in these sessions. They are a great way of cross training and as such are widely used in professional sports as a way of increasing physical strength and stamina
Aquafit comes recommended by most physiotherapists as an exercise form for injury rehabilitation. The natural buoyancy of the water reduces the natural pounding we give our bodies during exercise and so puts a lot less stress on the joints of the hips, knees and ankles. The resistance of the water allows for very effective exercise and our qualified Aquafit instructors will guide participants through the various and interesting techniques. Our instructors use various equipment and aids to improve the quality of the workout.
Aquafit is suitable for non-swimmers and swimmers alike, and will also give those who normally use fitness classes in the gym another option in their weekly workout!
